Dish Network New Mexico is the top
service provider for digital satellite tv in the U.S.. Digital satellite
television is a TV system in which a signal is transmitted, from Earth,
to an orbiting satellite which receives the signal, amplifies it, and
transmits it back to special antennae, or "dishes". Satellite
TV antennae receive digital signals then convert them into analog signals.
Dishnetwork Satellite TV system uses digital compression-decompression
standards referred to as an MPEG2. MPEG means "Motion Picture Experts
Group," which is a standards organization that establishes technical
standards for movies and video. Dish Network New Mexico signals are 100% digital, but most of the houses in New Mexico still have analog televisions only. Dishnetwork Satellite TV receivers take the digital MPEG-2 signal and convert it into an analog format recognizable by a standard television. For Dish Network subscribers who do have digital (high definition) TVs, Dish Network HD receivers are available. High Definition television, or HDTV, gives viewers crystal-clear pictures integrated with Dolby Digital 5.1 channel surround sound - the entertainment experience that has been imagined but was never possible on standard analog televisions. Dishnetwork digital satellite TV offers unbeatable value, a great selection of channels including all major networks, movie channels (ie. HBO, Cinnemax, Starz, Showtime), Pay Per View options on all the hot New Releases and major sporting events, international programming, local channels, and a wide variety of audio-only channels playing non-stop digital satellite music 24-hours a day. Dish Network also offers little to no start up cost, professional installation and best of all,...freedom from the cable company. The monthly subscription cost of Dish Network
digital satellite TV is much lower than that of cable or its digital
satellite competitor, Direct TV. (>$30 avg. for Dish Network Satellite
TV and $70 avg. for Cable TV-- for the same number of channels).
